HP Launches AI-Powered Laptops Across Variety of Models

HP unveils AI-equipped laptops offering up to 55 TeraOps, priced from 77,000 INR in the Indian market.

In a recent development, HP has unveiled a new lineup of computers equipped with AI technology. The range includes both business-focused EliteBook and ProBook models, as well as consumer-oriented OmniBook devices.

These machines come equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPUs) capable of handling up to 55 trillion calculations per second (TOPS), making them well-suited for complex AI tasks. The laptops run on processors from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm, providing users with multiple options, including ARM processors known for their efficiency.

Business Laptops

In the business category, HP has introduced three laptops, offering a choice between Intel and Qualcomm Snapdragon processors.

The HP EliteBook 8 G1i, powered by Intel's latest processors, offers up to 48 TOPS. It comes with a 14-inch touch WUXGA display, Intel Arc Graphics, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of storage. Priced at ₹146,622 for the Intel Ultra 5 variant and ₹154,013 for the Intel Ultra 7 variant, this laptop caters to various budgets.

The HP EliteBook 6 G1q, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, offers up to 45 TOPS. It provides options for Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite, Qualcomm Snapdragon X Plus, or Qualcomm Snapdragon X processors. Memory can be upgraded up to 64 GB, and storage can reach 1TB. Pricing starts at ₹87,440.

The HP ProBook 4 G1q, the most affordable option, starts at ₹77,200. It comes with a single processor choice, Qualcomm Snapdragon X, and offers up to 45 TOPS. The laptop can be configured with up to 32 GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.

Consumer Laptops

In the consumer laptop category, HP has launched four touch-enabled systems, each offering multiple processor options from Intel and AMD.

The HP OmniBook Ultra 14" is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 375 processor, delivering up to 55 TOPS for demanding AI tasks. It features 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory, a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe M.2 SSD, and a 14-inch 2.2K IPS touchscreen. Pricing starts at ₹186,499.

The HP OmniBook X Flip 14" is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 5 226V processor and offers up to 40 TOPS for AI workloads. It comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5x memory, 512 GB SSD storage, and a 14-inch 3K OLED multitouch display. Pricing starts at ₹114,999.

The HP OmniBook 7 Aero features an AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 processor, delivering up to 50 TOPS for AI workloads. It’s paired with 16 GB memory and a 512 GB SSD. The laptop offers a 13.3-inch WQXGA IPS display and pricing starts at ₹87,499.

The HP OmniBook 5 16" is powered by an AMD Ryzen AI 5 340 processor, delivering up to 50 TOPS for on-device AI acceleration. It’s paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5x memory and a 512 GB SSD. The laptop features a 16-inch 2K IPS display and pricing starts at ₹78,999.

Smart Capabilities

These machines include advanced features powered by their specialized chips. The HP AI Companion, a research helper, can look through personal files and provide quick answers even without internet access. For more demanding tasks, an online mode using GPT-4o becomes available when connected to the internet. The local processing requires 32GB of RAM and up to 4.5GB of storage, using a downloaded Phi 3.5 model.

Poly Camera Pro enhances video calls with auto-framing, support for multiple cameras, visual overlays, streaming functions, and customizable effects. Poly Audio adjusts automatically to your surroundings, cutting down background noise and making voices clearer.

The myHP platform tailors the computing experience by adjusting performance based on where you place your device, stops battery overcharging, and helps track screen time and viewing distance for better wellbeing.

Coming Soon

HP has announced two more business models — the HP EliteBook 8 G1a and the HP EliteBook 6 G1a — that will be available soon through HP Online stores. Prices are yet to be revealed.
