Durst holds a degree in Finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His career path includes stints as the founding Chief Operating Officer of a hedge fund manager in New York and as head of investor relations at a leading growth capital provider in Southern Africa.

At ILPA, Durst played a significant role in advancing the interests and standards of institutional investors in private equity. His work focused on fostering best practices, improving transparency, and enhancing collaboration between limited partners (LPs) and general partners (GPs).
