Japanese-made electric vehicles from Subaru are set to arrive in Europe soon.

Subaru is stepping into the electric vehicle (EV) market with a bang, introducing two new models - the Uncharted and E-Outback. These vehicles are expected to hit European roads and markets in Q1 2026.

Subaru Uncharted: Compact and Powerful

The Uncharted, a compact all-electric SUV, is built on Subaru's e-Subaru Global Platform. It boasts over 25 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, making it an ideal choice for those seeking ample storage space.

The Uncharted offers various drivetrain options, including a Premium FWD model with a single front motor and an estimated range of over 300 miles. For those seeking more power, the Sport and GT AWD models feature dual motors, delivering up to 338 hp and accelerating from 0-60 mph in under 5 seconds.

The AWD models come equipped with Subaru's X-Mode Dual Mode with Grip Control for improved traction and off-road capability. The Uncharted also offers battery packs of 57.7 kWh, 74.7 kWh, and 77 kWh, with the larger packs enabling ranges between 276 and 363 miles.

Subaru E-Outback: Traditional SUV Meets Electric Power

The E-Outback, Subaru's new electric top model, retains the traditional Outback crossover design while adapting it for electric propulsion on the e-Subaru Global Platform. The E-Outback promises a powerful performance with a 74.7 kWh battery producing 280 kW (approximately 380 hp).

The E-Outback accelerates from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds, boasts a 210 mm ground clearance, and has a towing capacity of 1,500 kg. The vehicle also features Subaru’s X-Mode terrain system, ensuring its off-road capability remains intact.

The E-Outback offers a range of over 279 miles on a full charge. It will be available with a distinctive roof rail and optional 18 or 20-inch alloy wheels.

Modern assistance systems based on EyeSight technology ensure safety in the E-Outback, while its 280 kW (375 PS) all-wheel drive system ensures a powerful driving experience. The E-Outback also features a wheelbase of 2.85 meters, offering more space between the axles.

Pre-orders for the E-Outback will begin in Q1 2026, with the vehicle set to launch in Europe in Q2 2026. The Uncharted, on the other hand, will initially be launched in the UK and European markets in Q1 2026.
