Jet Systems and Volocopter ink eVTOL agreement in France

In a groundbreaking move for the transportation sector, Volocopter and JetBlue have announced a partnership aimed at customer satisfaction and environmental preservation. The collaboration will bring innovative eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft services to France, starting in the picturesque city of Cannes.

Volocopter, a leading player in the eVTOL industry, will contribute its expertise in product development, maintenance, pilot training, and VoloIQ, its fleet management software. On the other hand, JetBlue will provide general airline services, including securing personnel (ground crew, pilots, and maintenance).

The partnership is set to minimize the impact on local communities in Paris, with both companies committed to ensuring a smooth and sustainable introduction of the new service. Volocopter and JetBlue Helícoptères Services have secured the initial delivery of two VoloCity eVTOL aircraft after it is certified under the European Union Aviation Safety Authority.

The eVTOL aircraft services will commence in Paris, where European and French authorities have an established and approved network of eVTOL flight routes and infrastructure. This development is particularly significant as Paris joins the growing list of cities embracing urban air mobility.

The collaboration between the two companies will be showcased at the fourth annual CiTTi Awards, an unmissable event for the UK's transportation sector. The awards, set to take place on 25 November 2025 at De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London, will recognise achievements and innovations in urban air mobility. More information about the CiTTi Awards can be found at www.cittiawards.co.uk.

Michel Moulin, CEO of JetBlue, expressed delight at partnering with Volocopter for eco-friendly mobility solutions in Paris. He stated, "We are excited to be working with Volocopter to bring this innovative service to our customers in Paris. Our shared goal is to provide a sustainable, efficient, and enjoyable transportation option while preserving the environment."

As the partnership progresses, both companies look forward to providing customers with a service tailored to their needs, contributing to the growing movement towards a more sustainable and efficient urban transportation system.
