Kia rebrands Stonic SUV: Adopts a sleek, refined appearance
The brand Kia has announced that it will be releasing the comprehensively revised version of the compact SUV Stonic in Europe next year, 2026. This five-seater vehicle has undergone significant modernization, both inside and out, aligning more with Kia's current design language "Opposites United".
The Stonic has grown to a length of 4.17 meters, and it now offers new exterior colours, including "Adventure Green" and "Yacht Blue". The vehicle's exterior also features intricate lighting graphics and gray plastic elements on the body sides for a more robust appearance.
Under the hood, the Stonic will be powered exclusively by internal combustion engines. Two gasoline engines with 74 kW / 100 PS and 85 kW / 115 PS are available. The more powerful engine is equipped with 48-volt mild hybrid technology. The engines can be paired with a manual six-speed gearbox or a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Inside, the Stonic's interior has been significantly modernized. The vehicle now features a fully digital cockpit with two 12.3-inch displays, although this was initially reported to not be a feature. However, it appears that the error has been rectified, and the Stonic will indeed offer this feature.
The Stonic's infotainment system supports current connectivity functions, but it does not offer smartphone charging via a charging tray or USB cable, contrary to initial reports.
The Stonic's driver assistance systems include navigation-based adaptive cruise control and lane keep assist, although it does not have these features according to some sources. It is unclear whether there has been a change in this regard.
The expected starting price for the Kia Stonic is slightly above 22,700 euros. The vehicle comes with 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, and it is expected to hit the European market in 2026. Unfortunately, the Stonic will not be available in Korea, as was initially reported.
