Klarna Integrates with Chrome's Autofill Feature, Offering Seamless Payment Options

Later this year, eligible U.S. users on Google Chrome will have a new and convenient payment option at their fingertips: Klarna. The global digital bank and flexible payments provider is set to integrate with Chrome's Autofill feature, offering a smooth and flexible checkout experience for purchases of $35 or more.

With this integration, users will be able to choose Klarna's interest-free Pay in 4 plan directly within Autofill at checkout. This means no additional sign-ins, app downloads, or separate checkout flows, making the process quicker and more efficient. For higher-priced items, Klarna will also offer financing options with monthly repayments starting at 0% APR over a longer period.

The Autofill integration reduces form errors and repetitive typing, providing a secure and convenient payment method. This move aims to meet consumer demands for faster, more flexible, and secure online payments embedded right into the browsing experience.

David Sykes, Chief Commercial Officer at Klarna, stated that the integration with Autofill on Chrome is about evolving to meet consumer expectations for flexibility, speed, and security in online payments. The enhanced experience with Klarna in Autofill on Chrome empowers consumers to shop confidently with a smarter, more transparent way to pay.

Eligible users can look forward to a more streamlined checkout process, offering them more choice and control without the need for additional steps or app downloads. The starting APR for Klarna's financing remains at 0%, and the repayment terms for Klarna's financing will be over a longer period of time.

Autofill is a feature built into Chrome that automatically fills in saved payment methods at checkout. By integrating Klarna with Autofill, Chrome aims to bring flexible payments that are seamless and secure, embedded directly in the browser. This integration is part of Google's effort to embed buy now, pay later (BNPL) services like Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, and others into Chrome's autofill, enabling easy selection of payment plans at checkout for U.S. shoppers.

In summary, the integration of Klarna with Autofill on Chrome is set to provide a more seamless and flexible payment experience for eligible U.S. users on Chrome. With Klarna's interest-free Pay in 4 option for purchases over $35 and financing options with monthly repayments starting at 0% APR for higher-priced items, users can look forward to a smarter and more transparent way to pay.
