Emerging AI Technology May Revolutionize Smartphones - Latest AI-equipped Smartphones Now Capable Of:
Google has just announced a new generation of Pixel smartphones, a new smartwatch, updated earbuds, and new accessories. Here's a rundown of the key features of each new device.
Pixel 10 Series
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL come with the new Tensor G5 processor and promise a faster and more efficient user experience. The Pixel 10 features a 48-megapixel main camera with 5x optical zoom and an Actua display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL feature a camera system with 50 megapixels in wide, 48 megapixels in telephoto, and 48 megapixels in ultrawide. All three devices come with up to 16GB of RAM and promise a 30-minute, 55% fast charge with a 30W power adapter and wireless charging via the Qi2 standard.
Google's AI agent, Gemini, is integrated into the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. It serves as a comprehensive, hands-free assistant powered by advanced AI models integrated with Tensor G5. The AI agent offers various features such as Magic Cue, Gemini Live, Visual guidance and camera interaction, Camera Coach, Photo editing by description, and Real-time translation.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Google has announced its first foldable Pixel smartphone, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It features an IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, a larger outer display, narrower bezels, and up to 1TB of storage. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold promises the best image stabilization to date, extreme resolutions, and up to 100x zoom.
Pixel Watch 4
The Pixel Watch 4 features an Actua display with a peak brightness of 3,000 Nits and smaller bezels. It also boasts a new dual-GPS system that enables more accurate location tracking. One of the most significant improvements is the replaceable battery and display, a first for the Pixel Watch series. Additionally, the Pixel Watch 4 features more precise sleep analysis and improved activity recognition via AI.
Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2
The Pixel Buds 2a are available in Iris and Hazel colours, with the Pixel Buds Pro 2 also getting a new Moonstone variant. The Pixel Buds 2a feature the Tensor A1, Google's first audio-dedicated chip, which improves noise cancellation by 1.5 times compared to previous Pro models. They offer up to seven hours of playtime with active noise cancellation and up to twenty hours without.
The Pixel Buds Pro 2 offer similar features but also include additional touch controls for easier use.
Availability
The Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL will be available from August 28, with pre-orders starting on August 20. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Buds 2a, and Pixel Watch 4 will be available on October 9.
With these new devices, Google continues to push the boundaries of technology, integrating AI and advanced hardware to create a seamless and intuitive user experience.
