Launched: New TVS Jupiter 110 OBD-2B Model Priced at ₹76,691
In a move to ensure compliance with ongoing emission norms, TVS Motor Company has announced that its entire two-wheeler portfolio will be updated by March 2025. Among the updated models is the TVS Jupiter 110, which has now been launched as the OBD-2B version.
The new Jupiter 110 comes equipped with an on-board engine control unit (ECU) and a sensor, as required by the OBD-2B compliance. This advanced technology constantly monitors and collects data about the scooter's ignition process, including throttle response, air-fuel ratio, engine temperature, fuel quantity, speed, and other key parameters.
While the specific details about the new features that give the Jupiter 110 a premium appeal are not yet available, the scooter has received some updates, particularly in its engine. The engine of the Jupiter 110 has been slightly enlarged to 113.3 cc, and it now produces 7.91 bhp and 9.8 Nm of torque.
The base drum brake variant of the TVS Jupiter 110 OBD-2B is priced at ₹2,991 more than the previous version, with the starting price now set at ₹76,691 (ex-showroom, Delhi). However, the new details about the Jupiter 110 have not been mentioned in terms of pricing or additional cost due to emission norms compliance.
The Jupiter 110 was initially launched last year with a striking body design, and the new version continues to sport the same attractive look. For those interested in learning more about the new features of the Jupiter 110, a first ride review video provides specific insights.
It's worth noting that the addition of extra equipment to comply with new emission norms has led to an increase in prices of all bikes and scooters. The new Jupiter 110 OBD-2B is just one example of TVS Motor Company's commitment to sustainability and meeting regulatory requirements.
The name of the project leader responsible for implementing the current emission standards at TVS Two-wheelers is not publicly available. Regardless, the company is well on its way to ensuring that all of its two-wheelers meet the latest emission norms by the deadline of March 2025.
