The BMW iX3, the brand's latest electric SUV, made its debut at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich this week. The iX3, which is set to go on sale next summer, is expected to be more efficient than its predecessor, the iX3, due to its lighter and lower body.

BMW presented the iX3 in Alpine White at the show, with this colour being the only no-cost paint option. Eucalyptus Green and Vegas Red (Fire Red in other markets) will likely cost extra, but, at the moment, there is no publicly available information about their prices in the German market. M Brooklyn Grey, Space Silver, Ocean Wave Blue, Sapphire Black, and Polarized Grey each cost €960 extra in Germany.

The iX3 will be built in Debrecen starting this November, with European deliveries set to begin in spring 2026. Two variants of the iX3 will be available: the iX3 40 xDrive (with all-wheel drive) and the iX3 40 sDrive (without all-wheel drive). The more affordable iX3 40 xDrive has been announced, but the U.S.-spec iX3 configurator is not live yet, and the prices for the U.S. market have not been disclosed.

In addition to the standard iX3, BMW also plans to release a sedan version of the iX3, the i3, in 2026. The i3 will be built in Munich from mid-2026. The iX3 was displayed without the M Sport Package at the show, but it's expected that this option will be available at a later date.

Another notable feature of the iX3 is the optional 21-inch aerodynamic wheels (codenamed 1049), which add €1,500 to the price.

The initial version of the iX3's bigger brother, the iX, is due to go on sale next year. With the iX3's impressive efficiency and the upcoming i3, BMW is continuing to solidify its position as a leader in the electric vehicle market. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new models.
