At the Meta Connect 2025 conference, Mark Zuckerberg introduced the much-anticipated Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses. These groundbreaking AR glasses, a collaboration between Meta and Ray-Ban, are set to revolutionise the way we interact with technology.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses will be available from September 30, priced at $799. They will be stocked at Best Buy, LensCrafters, Sunglass Hut, and Ray-Ban stores. To ensure a personalised fit, an in-store visit is required for the initial setup. For those eager to try the glasses, Best Buy offers appointment booking.

The glasses incorporate an in-lens display, advanced camera features, and a neural band for gesture support. The neural band, made of comfortable textiles, is hyper-sensitive, capable of detecting even the slightest movements. It boasts an impressive battery life of up to 18 hours, providing ample power for long-term use.

The glasses themselves have a battery life of up to 6 hours per charge, with a charging case offering an additional 30 hours. The Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses weigh 69g, making them 17g heavier than the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) AI glasses.

One of the standout features of the Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses is their multitasking capabilities. Users can livestream POV footage directly from the glasses, interact discreetly with messages during meetings, and even write on surfaces using their fingers, with the neural band interpreting their gestures.

The glasses are equipped with a 12MP Ultra-Wide camera, 2 open ear speakers, a custom 6-mic Array, and support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. They boast a field of view (FOV) of 20 degrees, a 600 x 600 pixels monocular display, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses bear a similar overall design to Ray-Ban Wayfarer glasses, though they are thicker due to the addition of a display, computing hardware, and a larger battery. They feature one camera on the side of one lens and an LED indicator on the other side.

The neural band, an integral part of the glasses, can understand electrical impulses in the wrist muscles to translate them into gestures. This feature offers a significant advantage over voice-only interaction, as there are situations where using voice interaction is inappropriate, disruptive, or impossible.

The Meta Ray-Ban Display Glasses, with their integrated color display, extensive camera system, and Neuralband wristband, promise to redefine the boundaries of technology and everyday life.
