Introducing the Nissan Ariya Electric SUV in Australia

The Nissan Ariya, an exciting new electric SUV, is set to roll out in Australia in September 2025. Orders for this innovative vehicle are already open, with the AWD variant, the Evolve e-4ORCE, priced at $71,840 AUD (before on-road costs).

This premium offering from Nissan combines range, technology, and practicality, positioning itself as a strong contender in Australia’s growing electric SUV market.

The Nissan Ariya comes in four variants: Engage, Advance, Advance+, and Evolve e-4ORCE. The AWD Evolve e-4ORCE variant boasts a dual-motor powertrain for enhanced performance and traction, and two battery options: 63kWh and 87kWh, with the AWD Evolve likely using the larger 87kWh battery.

The smaller battery delivers up to 385 km of WLTP range, while the larger battery can get the car to 504 km in the single-motor Advance+ variant. Fast charging capability up to 130kW enables 10 to 80% charge in about 35 minutes.

The interior of the Ariya AWD model is spacious, with dimensions of 4595mm length and 1850mm width, and 2775mm wheelbase. It features a modern suspension setup with independent front struts and multi-link rear suspension.

Advanced interior features include a 12.3" touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, 12.3" TFT digital driver display, wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto, automatic dual-zone climate control, intelligent cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, a leather-accented steering wheel with multifunction controls, wireless phone charger, heated and power-adjustable folding door mirrors with LED indicators, and 60/40 split folding rear seats.

The entry-level Engage variant is priced at $55,840 AUD (before on-road costs), while the mid-spec Advance variant is priced at $59,840 AUD (before on-road costs). The 2WD variant offers a drive mode selector (Eco, Standard, Sport) and can accelerate from 0-100 in 8 seconds. It has a power output of 160kW and torque of 300Nm.

The 2WD variant comes with features such as an automatic dimming frameless rear view mirror, intelligent key, automatic dual-zone climate control, power adjustable/ folding, heated door mirrors, and one-touch power windows.

The Nissan Ariya 2WD variant also offers a braked towing capacity of 750kg and features LED Headlights with auto on/off, LED Daytime Running Lights, LED Rear Fog Lights, LED Tail Lights, Rear roof spoiler, Shark fin antenna, and Side window surround - satin chrome.
