Nordstrom's CTO Edmond Mesrobian to Depart, Search for Successor Begins

Nordstrom's Chief Technology and Information Officer, Edmond Mesrobian, is set to depart on October 14. The company is now seeking a replacement for the role he has held since joining from Tesco in 2018.

Mesrobian's tenure at Nordstrom has seen a significant focus on digital operations, aligning with the company's 'Closer to You' strategy. In 2019, he led a restructuring of the tech team to enhance customer experience through AI.

Nordstrom places great emphasis on data in its fashion retail operations, employing AI models trained by stylists. However, the search for a successor to Mesrobian is still underway, with no specific candidate announced yet. This comes after the closure of Nordstrom's Trunk Club apparel subscription service earlier this year.

With Edmond Mesrobian's departure, Nordstrom is actively seeking a new Chief Technology and Information Officer. The company's commitment to digital innovation and data-driven retail is expected to continue under new leadership.
