October marks the unveiling of Elon Musk's Grok AI's innovative Text-to-Video Generator
In an exciting development, Grok, the AI-powered platform, has announced the launch of two new features: a text-to-video generation tool called "Imagine" and customizable AI companions.
The text-to-video feature allows users to create instant videos with sound from text prompts. This means you can transform your ideas into engaging visual content with ease. The feature will also have the ability to transform existing images into videos, making it a versatile tool for content creation.
Grok's customizable AI companions debuted with three characters: Valentine, Ani, and Rudy. Valentine, inspired by fictional characters, offers a romantic touch, while Ani, a goth-style anime avatar, adds a unique edge. Rudy, on the other hand, is a cute red panda avatar that brings a playful and adorable vibe to the interactions.
To access these features, users will need to download the standalone Grok app and subscribe to the Super Grok plan. This subscription, priced at $30 per month, not only unlocks early access to the video generation and AI companions but also includes access to other enhanced functionalities like DeepSearch, real-time data access, image generation, and soon, video generation.
The text-to-video generation feature will be rolled out starting in October 2025, first available exclusively to Super Grok subscribers on the standalone Grok app. Users can already join the waitlist to get early access before it becomes more broadly available.
The customizable AI companions are currently available only to Super Grok subscribers within the Grok app, enabling users to activate these avatars directly.
It's worth noting that Grok AI and its advanced features are part of the broader X Premium+ subscription. This means that access to the Grok platform requires an X Premium+ membership.
Grok's AI chatbot stands out from other popular AI chatbots like Gemini and ChatGPT due to its unfiltered AI experience. The AI companions will interact with users for both text and voice prompts, responding as if they were real-life humans. Their personalities and tones change based on conversations, making each interaction unique and engaging.
