Ohmium & Aquastill Partner to Revolutionize Green Hydrogen from Seawater

Ohmium, a US-based green hydrogen company, has partnered with Dutch firm Aquastill to produce affordable, clean energy from seawater. The collaboration aims to decarbonize coastal regions and create new business opportunities.

Ohmium, with a global project pipeline of over 1.8 GW across three continents, will integrate Aquastill's modular desalination units with its PEM electrolyzers. This combination will facilitate innovative applications, such as co-locating electrolyzers with offshore wind farms.

The joint effort, led by Ohmium's CEO Arne Ballantine and Aquastill's CEO Bart Nelemans, seeks to provide a more efficient, sustainable, and affordable way of producing clean energy. By using desalinated seawater, companies in coastal or rural regions can now decarbonize operations cost-effectively. Ohmium, which raised $250 million in Series C financing last year, sees this collaboration as a potential game changer.

Ohmium and Aquastill's strategic collaboration aims to revolutionize green hydrogen production from seawater. By combining their technologies, they hope to create new decarbonization opportunities for businesses in coastal areas, making clean energy more accessible and affordable.
