In a bid to optimize his relaxation routine, inventor Will Dana has devised an upgrade for his iPad suspension system. Initially, the device relied on a manual pulley system, suspending the tablet over the bed on three cords. This new iteration introduces a motorized winch to seamlessly elevate the device, eliminating the need for manual cord-pulling.

The upgraded system also includes a calibrating mechanism that ensures consistent operation. A spot of dark ink on one of the cords, in combination with a light sensor, helps the ESP32 module control the device effectively.
