Palladyne AI & Red Cat Team Up to Boost Teal Drones' Autonomous Capabilities
Palladyne AI and Red Cat Holdings have joined forces to boost the capabilities of Red Cat's Teal drones. The partnership will integrate Palladyne AI's AI product, Palladyne Pilot, into Teal drones, enhancing their autonomous navigation and shared situational awareness.
Palladyne Pilot, designed for mobile systems, will facilitate collaboration among multiple drones and autonomous navigation when integrated with drone autopilot systems. This integration will expand Teal drone system capabilities, creating a network of collaborating drones and sensors for superior intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
The partnership will make Palladyne Pilot available for all Teal drones, including those already in the field. This move will enable cost-effective small drone platforms with high adaptability and performance in challenging environments, as noted by George Matus, CTO of Red Cat. Palladyne AI's software platform is designed to train and enhance the effectiveness of various autonomous robots.
Ben Wolff, CEO of Palladyne AI, praised Red Cat's partnership approach, which has earned them recognition and certification from the U.S. Department of Defense for their drone systems. Wolff leads Palladyne AI's strategic realignment toward AI-driven software innovations for autonomous robotics, particularly in defense and commercial applications.
Palladyne AI and Red Cat Holdings will showcase their partnership at the AUSA conference and through joint marketing initiatives throughout the year. By integrating Palladyne Pilot into Teal drones, both companies aim to enhance the drones' autonomous capabilities and create a network of collaborating drones and sensors for superior intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.
