LONGi and Enexus Form Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Romania's Energy Transition

China-based LONGi Solar Technology and Romania's Enexus have announced a strategic partnership that aims to bolster Romania's renewable energy sector and contribute to the country's energy transition goals.

The partnership involves LONGi supplying 300 MW of its Hi-MO 7 series modules to Enexus. These advanced modules, known for their high bifaciality, excellent power temperature coefficient, and HPDC cell technology, will be used in a portfolio of ground-mounted PV plants across Romania.

Liam Tang, General Manager of LONGi's Eastern Europe division, stated that this partnership will accelerate Romania's energy transition goals, while Mirel Jarnea, Country Manager of LONGi Romania, expressed confidence that it will lay the foundation for a resilient and cost-effective energy ecosystem.

Enexus, active in Romania's solar sector since 2021, is an integrated EPC that enables renewable energy investors to rapidly grow their capital through bankable, connection-ready projects. The company, established by Mesut Güler who boasts 20 years of international renewable energy and construction experience, has projects in Romania, Turkey, Italy, and Ukraine, and aims to expand into new emerging markets starting 2025.

Enexus can cover the entire value chain of a photovoltaic project journey, including financing, building, operating, and storage capabilities. The company's services range from renewable energy investments to turnkey design and construction, as well as operation and maintenance of photovoltaic projects.

In 2024, LONGi and Enexus successfully co-delivered one of Romania's first hybrid solar + storage projects in the Gorj region. The modules will be deployed across a wide geographic area, supporting Enexus' EPC projects in both southern and northwestern Romania.

LONGi's business sectors include mono silicon wafers, cells, and modules, as well as commercial & industrial distributed solar solutions, green energy solutions, and hydrogen equipment. Recently, the company has embraced green hydrogen products and solutions to support global zero carbon development.

Enexus' over 600 MW of built and connected projects offer investors both greater yield reliability and a hedge against potential risks related to unpredictable grid or energy infrastructure constraints. The partnership is expected to further strengthen Romania's renewable energy sector and contribute to the country's ambitious energy transition goals.

The partnership is a significant step forward in LONGi's mission to 'make the best of solar energy to build a green world'. Enexus, with its focus on accelerating investors' capital growth through bankable, connection-ready PV projects, is well-positioned to help achieve this goal in Romania and beyond. The companies plan to expand with LONGi solar modules for photovoltaic projects in other countries in the Black Sea region, specifically in Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, and Georgia in 2025.
