Porsche Teases Electric Cayenne: 1,000 HP, 3.0 Sec 0-60, 185 Miles in 10 Min Charge
Porsche has offered a sneak peek of its upcoming electric Cayenne, providing a behind-the-wheel experience of the prototype. Participants were treated to a drive in the partially disguised Porsche Cayenne, with no cameras allowed inside.
The electric Porsche Cayenne promises impressive performance. Prototypes boast up to 1,000 horsepower, accelerating from 0-60 mph in less than 3.0 seconds. Charging is equally impressive, with a peak rate of 400 kW adding around 185 miles of range in just 10 minutes.
The Porsche Cayenne EV will feature an augmented reality head-up display and an AI-powered voice assistant for navigation and inquiries. It will also offer a wireless charging pad, compatible with Tesla's NACS ports at limited power flow. For towing, the Porsche Cayenne EV can handle up to 7,700 pounds.
Under the hood, a Porsche-designed rear motor with an oil-based cooling system ensures efficient performance. The vehicle also features an air suspension and Porsche Active Ride system for stability across varied terrains.
The 2027 Porsche Cayenne EV is set to hit dealerships mid-next year, bringing with it a powerful, efficient, and technologically advanced driving experience. With its impressive performance, innovative features, and robust capabilities, the Porsche Cayenne EV is poised to make a significant impact in the luxury electric SUV market.
