Premium E-Mountain Bike for Enduro Racers: Equipped with a robust Bosch power system and top-tier Fox Factory suspension, but comes with a hefty price tag

The mountain biking world is abuzz with excitement as Yeti unveils its latest innovation - the LTe, an electric race bike designed specifically for enduro racing. This full-fat bike setup is set to redefine the boundaries of what an electric mountain bike can achieve.

Key Features of the Yeti LTe

The LTe boasts a carbon fiber frame with Vectran plies for added protection in key areas like the chainstays, top tube, down tube, and chainstays. This robust frame houses several distinctive features that set it apart from its contemporaries.

One such feature is the inclusion of downtube guards, serving as an access door to the battery and internal cables. Rubber guards on the chainstay and seatstays further enhance the bike's durability.

The LTe's geometry is designed for steep terrain, with an increased stack height and a longer head tube. This design, combined with a slackened head angle that resembles the World Cup winning SB160, offers superior handling and stability on challenging trails.

Mudguards and Transmission Options

Integrated mudguards on the LTe do not interfere with suspension movement, ensuring optimal performance even in adverse weather conditions. The entry-level C2 Factory model in the UK comes equipped with Fox Factory suspension, unlike other markets which only get Podium suspension. This build runs off the Bosch CX motor and 800Wh battery, with a SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission and Maven Bronze brakes.

For those seeking a mid-level option, the T3 model uses SRAM's X0 Transmission and Bosch's Gen 5 CX motor. The highest trim level of the Yeti LTe is the T4 XX Transmission model, priced at 14,500 euros. It features a Bosch Performance Line CX Race motor, Fox Podium Factory fork, SRAM XX Eagle AXS drivetrain, and SRAM Maven Ultimate brakes.

Screen and Availability

The Kiox 400C is the screen of choice for the LTe, providing riders with essential data and control at a glance. In the UK, there are three models of the LTe available: the C2 Factory, the T3, and the T4 Race.

Yeti's Sixfinity Linkage Design

The LTe electric race bike utilises Yeti's Sixfinity linkage design, offering exceptional pedalling efficiency and descending capability. The bike comes with a carbon riser bar for a more upright riding position, and it's available in three builds, with prices ranging from £9,499 to £12,999.

The T4 Race model is equipped with Bosch's CX-R race motor, offering 100Nm of torque and 750W max power in Race Mode. With 160mm rear travel and 170mm front travel, the LTe is ready to tackle even the most challenging terrain.

In conclusion, the Yeti LTe is a game-changer in the world of electric mountain bikes. Its robust design, innovative features, and focus on enduro racing make it a must-have for any serious mountain biker.
