Preparation for InfoComm 2025 Gears Up

InfoComm 2025, an annual industry event, is approaching quickly, with education sessions commencing on June 7 and the exhibit hall opening on June 11-13 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. SCN spoke with Jenn Heinold, recently appointed senior VP, expositions, Americas at AVIXA, to gain insights into the upcoming event.

SCN inquired about InfoComm attendance in Orlando compared to shows in Las Vegas, and whether there would be an increase in attendees and exhibitors for 2025. Heinold shared that their attendance goal for InfoComm 2025 is set at 40,000, a number that would bring it back to pre-pandemic levels. The event is anticipated to attract more end-users from sectors like education, houses of worship, retail, hospitality, and enterprise. Moreover, over 900 exhibitors are expected.

As for the buzzwords in the Pro AV industry, Heinold confirmed that AI would be a significant focus at InfoComm 2025, with numerous AI-powered solutions that enhance efficiency and improve user experiences. The event will also feature an education track dedicated to AI, exploring its impact on Pro AV solutions and addressing critical topics such as emerging compliance and security concerns.

The intersection of AV, IT, and broadcast, particularly in the workplace setting, will also be a prominent theme and content topic at InfoComm 2025. Although tariff talk will be inevitable, Heinold emphasized the value of events in bringing the community together amidst uncertainty.

The AVIXA TV Studio will return for a third year. This booth provides a platform for exploring the practical and inspirational working solutions in the growing convergence between broadcast and AV. The studio will display low-tech/turnkey setups to fully customizable setups with advanced features.

Free educational opportunities available at InfoComm 2025 include the Spotlight Stage, a dedicated hub for the fastest-growing solution areas in Pro AV, such as broadcast AV, digital signage, and more. The stage will feature in-depth conversations and networking between attendees and solution providers. Additionally, the Technology Innovation Stage and AVIXA Xchange LIVE will return, offering trend forecasts, product announcements, demonstrations, and compelling discussions about pushing the boundaries of innovation.

In terms of residential systems, InfoComm 2025 will not be expanding to include a large residential presence. Concerning sustainability, InfoComm will showcase eco-friendly products and solutions, sustainable practices in AV design and installation, and the SAVe Certification workshop addressing current sustainability issues. The AVIXA Sustainability Advisory Group will also host an interactive session at the Technology Innovation Stage, discussing the connection between Pro AV solutions and sustainable design.
