Rapid Charging Stations for EDEKA Groceries Installed by SWI
Fast-Charging Stations Now Available at EDEKA Fanderl Supermarkets in Gerolfing and Kothau
In a move to support electric vehicle (EV) users, Stadtwerke Ingolstadt and EDEKA Fanderl have partnered to install fast-charging stations at the EDEKA Fanderl supermarkets in Gerolfing and Kothau. These high-speed chargers, capable of delivering up to 150 kW of power, are part of a total of six sites installed by Stadtwerke Ingolstadt.
The new fast-charging stations, ideal for a shopping trip according to SWI Managing Director Matthias Bolle, offer significantly faster charging compared to standard chargers, which max out at 22 kW. Each station has two charging points, ensuring that multiple EVs can be charged simultaneously.
Sabine Fanderl, Managing Director of EDEKA Fanderl, expressed her pleasure in working with Stadtwerke Ingolstadt, stating that the partnership emphasizes regionality, sustainability, and service - values important to both parties as family businesses.
The fast-charging stations can recharge a vehicle's battery up to 80% in approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on the vehicle. Charging is possible with the SWI charging card or the Stadtwerke app SWI e-motion, but also with other charging cards.
Customers of the Stadtwerke's green electricity tariff receive the most favorable charging prices. With these fast-charging stations now operational in Gerolfing and Kothau, EV drivers can charge their vehicles while shopping, making their journey more convenient and stress-free.
Stadtwerke Ingolstadt currently operates over 100 charging points in Ingolstadt and the surrounding region, including several fast-charging stations at the charging park at the Audi roundabout, at the incampus, the innovation area of the Audi AG, and in the Harderstraße.
This development is a significant addition to the charging infrastructure in Gerolfing and Kothau, providing a modern shopping experience that includes convenient and quick electric vehicle charging. The fast-charging stations at EDEKA Fanderl supermarkets are ideal partners for Stadtwerke Ingolstadt in their mission to support EV users and promote sustainability.
This partnership between Stadtwerke Ingolstadt and EDEKA Fanderl introduces the use of technology in the form of fast-charging stations at their supermarkets in Gerolfing and Kothau, aiming to cater to general-news focused on electric vehicle (EV) users.
