ReOrbit Secures €45M Series A, Finland's Largest All-Equity Round
Finnish spacecraft developer ReOrbit has secured a significant boost with a 45 million euro ($53.3 million) Series A funding round. Led by Finnish VC firm Springvest, this is the largest all-equity round for a Finnish company to date.
ReOrbit aims to scale up production of its Silta and Ukko satellite lines with the fresh funds. The company's unique business model involves selling sovereign capacities, giving customers more control over their supply chains and data. This approach has attracted several investors besides Springvest, making the round the largest of its kind in Finland.
At the heart of ReOrbit's success is its innovative software architecture, Strawberry. This technology allows customers greater control over spacecraft development and operation. With this new capital, ReOrbit plans to grow its employee base to 200 to 250 people by the end of 2026, moving into a historic Helsinki building to accommodate parallel production of eight small GEO satellites.
ReOrbit's ambitious goal is to achieve one billion euros in sales within four years. With this latest funding round, the company is well on its way to becoming a major player in the global space industry, contributing to Finland's growing reputation as a hub for innovative technology.
