Revamped Design for Peak Design Bags Could Significantly Alter Their Appearance
Peak Design Unveils Vibrant New Color Expansion
In an exciting development, Peak Design has announced a significant color expansion for their product line in 2025. The expansion introduces four new colorways – Eclipse, Kelp, Ocean, and Ibis – across approximately 75 products, including Everyday and Travel Bags, Clips, Straps, and Packing Tools.
This extensive color refresh marks Peak Design's largest to date, refreshing most previous muted tones like bone, midnight, raw, and ash, while retaining classics like black and coyote on many products. The update focuses on enhancing style and personalization, with no functional changes to the fabrics, hardware, or design features.
The new color options are available for iconic models such as the Everyday Backpack, Travel Backpack, Outdoor Backpack, and Capture Clip, enabling customers to have a fully coordinated color setup.
Eclipse, a rich, shadowy red-purple color option, has previously appeared on select roller luggage and outdoor backpacks. Kelp, an earthy green color option, offers a natural touch, while Ocean, a deep, calming blue, adds a touch of tranquility. Ibis, a pinkish-orange color option, brings a playful and energetic vibe to smaller Peak Design accessories like packing cubes, straps, and totes.
The new colorways range from moody blues to unapologetically vibrant pink-orange, drawing inspiration from both the natural world and the bolder end of the spectrum. For creators, commuters, and travellers who see their bag as part of their personal style, color can be as much of a selling point as capacity or weight.
Pricing details were not explicitly provided, but as these are refreshes of existing products, prices likely remain aligned with Peak Design’s existing pricing for corresponding models across bags and accessories. The new color options are available for purchase at Peak Design US, Peak Design UK, and Peak Design AU.
This is the first time since 2019 that Peak Design has gone this big with a cosmetic refresh, a move that makes sense given the increasing competition in the functional photography-meets-travel gear space. The timing of the color refresh is strategic, positioning Peak Design's durable and functional gear as a stylish choice for the discerning consumer.
