RM Sotheby's to Auction 'Best of M Collection' in Munich: Rare & Iconic BMW M Models
RM Sotheby's is set to host an extraordinary auction in Munich on 18 October 2025. The 'Best of M Collection' features a stunning array of rare, significant, and best-driving BMW M models spanning decades, from the 1970s to the present day.
The collection boasts a 1975 BMW 2002 turbo and a 1980 BMW M1, representing the older gems. For the modern enthusiast, there's a 2003 BMW M Coupe in Phoenix Yellow with around 7,500 kilometers, expected to sell for between €80,000 and €100,000. A standout among the newer models is a 2011 BMW M3 CRT, one of just 67 examples, with 168 kilometers on the clock, estimated to fetch between €170,000 - €220,000.
The collection also includes a 2003 BMW ALPINA Roadster V8, the sole ALPINA model, and more modern offerings like a 2016 BMW M2, 2023 BMW M4 CSL, and 2016 BMW M4 GTS. From the 1990s, there's an E36 BMW M3 GT, BMW Z1, and E30 BMW M3 convertible.
