Rumor emerges about Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE, potentially disrupting M3 iPad Air purchase plans

A brand spankin' new contest is heating up in the tablet world! Apple's just dropped their M3-packed iPad Air at a hefty $599, but let's be honest, do we all need a tablet with that level of performance? Samsung's got some exciting new additions to the Galaxy Tab S series up their sleeves - the Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+. These bad boys are rumored to launch at more budget-friendly prices (keep your fingers crossed), offering a reasonable alternative for most people.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE looks like a standard tablet, and according to leaks from YTechB via SamMobile, both the base FE and the FE+ will sport a metal frame. The FE features a 10.9-inch screen, while the FE+ rocks a larger 13.1-inch display. They'll reportedly boast an Exynos 1580 processor, 8GB/12GB of RAM, and 128GB/256GB of storage.

Both models are said to come with a 12MP selfie camera and a 13MP rear shooter. They'll feature quad speakers, a fingerprint reader, a microSD card slot, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The former will have an 8,000mAh battery, while the latter gets bumped up to a 10,090mAh battery for longer use. Plus, they'll come bundled with the Galaxy S Pen!

So, how does this Exynos 1580 processor stack up against Apple's M3 chip? Well, the FE's chip first surfaced in the Galaxy A56 - and according to leaks, it doesn't quite hold a candle to Apple's M3 chip. But unless you're planning on doing some heavy video editing or intense gaming on your tablet, Apple's offerings might be a bit overkill.

If you're patient and willing to wait a bit, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE might save you a few hundred bucks on a new tablet. As of now, the M3 iPad is available for pre-order at $599, and if you want to snag the Apple Pencil, you'll need to shell out an additional $79 – bringing the total to $669 for the tablet and stylus. If you spring for a keyboard, that's a hefty $269.

On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE debuted at $449 and is currently on sale for $299 – that's $229 in savings with the stylus included. Adding the keyboard would set you back an additional $159, so you'd save a total of $339 with the FE.

It's essential to remember that these are just rumors, so we won't know the official details about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE until Samsung announces it. But stay tuned to our site for updates on these new Samsung tablets and maybe even that MacBook Air M4!
