Russia Deploys 'Bee' UAV for Strikes and Drone Defense in Belgorod
A new unmanned aerial vehicle, named 'Bee', has been developed and deployed to the Belgorod special military operation zone. Manufactured by KB Mimics, this modern drone boasts innovative features and versatile capabilities.
The 'Bee' UAV is an electric, propeller-driven drone designed for close-range strikes. It carries a contact trigger in the form of a needle on its nose, allowing it to detonate upon impact with the target. Additionally, it can be remotely detonated, providing operators with flexibility in its use.
Versatile in its role, the 'Bee' UAV serves not only as a strike weapon but also as an air defense system against enemy drones. With a payload capacity of up to 3 kg and a flight range of up to 15 km, it offers a significant threat and defense capability.
While the name 'Bee' has been used in previous Russian UAV developments, such as the 'Bee-1T' reconnaissance aircraft in the 1980s, the modern 'Bee' UAV differs significantly in design and purpose from its predecessor.
The 'Bee' UAV, developed by KB Mimics, has been sent to the Belgorod special military operation zone. Its unique features, including contact and remote detonation capabilities, along with its versatile role as both a strike weapon and air defense system, make it a formidable addition to the arsenal.
