Russia's 'BIOPRO' Forum Launches in Gelendzhik, Boosting Biotech and Industry

The International Forum 'BIOPRO' has kicked off in Gelendzhik, with Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov in attendance on the first day. The event, focusing on biotechnology and industrial production, has seen the establishment of the Fund for Industrial Development with a capitalization of 10 billion rubles by Kuban. Representatives from authorities, academia, and big business are participating in the event.

During the forum, an agreement on cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Administration of Krasnodar Krai, and the company 'Formika Event'. The use of biomass for creating new products is a promising direction highlighted in the forum's focus. Despite sanctions, regional enterprises in Krasnodar Krai are operating at full capacity and engaging in import substitution. Krasnodar Krai Governor Veniamin Konдратьev inspected the region's stand at the forum alongside Denis Manturov. The volume of industrial product shipments in Krasnodar Krai has increased by 2.5 times over the past 10 years. The 'BIOPRO' forum in Gelendzhik will be held on a permanent basis.
