Samsung broadens One UI 8 beta testing to the listed Galaxy devices, with a planned stable release in September
Samsung has made an exciting announcement for its users, expanding the One UI 8 beta program to include a range of devices. Starting next week, the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Z Fold6 will join the beta testing programme.
If you're interested in participating, you can register for the One UI 8 beta program via the Samsung Members app. However, it's important to note that the Galaxy S25 series and the stable One UI 8 update starting in September 2025 will not be part of the beta program.
Samsung has confirmed that the stable One UI 8 update will be released in September 2025 for supported Galaxy devices, with the Galaxy S25 series being the first to receive it after undergoing Beta testing since May 2025. The exact release date within September has not been officially announced yet.
Before the stable rollout, Samsung will open the One UI 8 Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series in mid-August, with the beta for Galaxy S23 devices expected around early September (tentatively September 8). These beta dates are unofficial leaks and not confirmed as exact stable release dates.
After the Galaxy S25 series, the stable update is expected to roll out sequentially to other eligible Galaxy devices, but Samsung has not provided a specific calendar for these later rollouts.
In addition to this, Samsung will expand the availability of One UI 8 Watch beyond the Galaxy Watch 8 series and Galaxy Watch Ultra later this year.
The One UI 8 beta program is currently available in Korea, the US, the UK, and India. The Galaxy S24 series and 2024's foldable lineup will be eligible for the beta next week, while the rest of the list will get the beta in September.
It's worth mentioning that the One UI 8 beta program will not include any advertisements or unnecessary information.
This news is significant for Samsung users, marking a step forward in the development of the One UI 8 update. However, specific details about Samsung's next big Galaxy update, the durability test of the Galaxy Z Flip 7, or the placement of the NFC antenna in the Galaxy S26 remain undisclosed.
Users can register for the One UI 8 beta program through the Samsung Members app, as Samsung expands the beta testing program to include smartphones like the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Flip6, and Galaxy Z Fold6. In the future, technology enthusiasts may look forward to updating their gadgets with the new One UI 8, anticipated to roll out for a variety of devices starting September 2025.
