Security System: Resideo's First Alert VISTA H Series
The security industry is abuzz with the announcement of the First Alert VISTA H Series, a full-service, scalable security system for residential and light-commercial security installations, by Resideo Technologies. This new system is designed to offer improved operational efficiencies and return on investment, with a focus on wired zones and device expansion capabilities.
At the heart of the VISTA H Series is the hardwired landscape keypad model (VISTAHLKP). This keypad supports 8 hardwired zones onboard, with the capability to integrate with up to 64 V-Plex devices on a single VISTAHTKVR-V module. The system also boasts up to 64 relay outputs and individual LEDs providing clear indications for power, system status, and trouble conditions.
The VISTA H Series is primarily compatible with V-Plex wired devices and modules from Resideo, designed for professional-grade wired security system configurations. The system supports traditional hardwired sensors and relays, making it flexible for varying security installation requirements.
The First Alert H3 Panel, the first product released in the VISTA H Series, offers several expansion modules, including a Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi / Z-wave combo module, an LTE radio module, a legacy takeover module for 5800 sensors, and a bus isolator module.
The VISTA H Series can integrate with the First Alert VX Video Series, allowing for seamless video surveillance in security setups. It is also compatible with existing sensors and peripherals, making installations easier for professionals.
The system is designed to integrate with the latest technology, potentially reducing installation time and labor costs. Ryan Park, Senior Product Director of Safety and Security at Resideo, stated that the new VISTA H Series offers a modern hybrid solution for seamless wired and wireless upgrades.
The VISTA H Series builds on the dependability customers trust from Resideo's existing VISTA Platform. It supports a wide range of applications and offers new and cost-effective upgrades, minimizing customer investment through compatibility and reuse of pre-existing peripherals and sensors.
Resideo Technologies, a global provider of solutions for home comfort, energy management, safety, and security, will add more options and features to the VISTA H Series in the coming months. The VISTA H Series will be available in the U.S. and Canada through ADI Distribution, a Resideo company.
