Self-exclusion installation service commences from September onwards

Heads up! Starting September 1, 2025, you won't be able to whip up new mobile phone contracts via Goservices or MFC like a boss! Yep, the Russian government's getting serious about countering cyber fraud, and they're slapping a self-ban on electronic mobile communication contracting through those platforms.

Although Goservices already offers the convenience of checking your sim-cards' status, this new move means you won't need to reach out to each operator to screen for any "gray" sim-cards. You can even block any unwanted or sketchy sim-cards on the spot!

Changes to the "On Communications" law, effective from April 1, limit operators to doling out a maximum of 20 sim-cards to Russian citizens and 10 to foreigners. By November 1, Russians gotta ditch any additional sim-cards, while foreigners have until July 1 to follow suit. The purpose? Tackling mass fraudulent calls and keeping those pesky fraudsters at bay.
