SIFA Launches Tech Working Group to Standardize Fund Reporting

The Swedish Investment Fund Association (SIFA) has formed a new working group, focusing on technology and back-office issues. Led by Jakob Ahlund, the group aims to set common standards for reporting and file validation, benefiting fund companies' reporting processes.

Currently, a JSON schema on the association's GitHub account validates the format of EPT files. This working group, open to all member companies, is expected to discuss regulatory reporting and other technical standards in the future. With SIFA members representing around 90% of Sweden's net fund assets, the group's influence is significant.

The GitHub account serves as a hub for members to find validation code, contribute their own code, and share improvements. By fostering collaboration, the association hopes to enhance the industry's overall efficiency and compliance.

SIFA's new working group, under Jakob Ahlund's leadership, is poised to standardise reporting and file validation processes. Through collaboration and shared resources on the GitHub account, the group seeks to improve fund companies' reporting capabilities, ultimately benefiting the Swedish investment market.
