Spam Calls Surge in August 2025: Hamburg & Düsseldorf Numbers Hit Hard

August 2025 saw a surge in spam calls, with scammers employing aggressive tactics to extract personal data. The most frequently used numbers included several from the Hamburg and Düsseldorf areas.

The most active spam numbers in August were 040855997158, 021195586801, and others, according to reports. Scammers favoured numbers with the Hamburg (040) and Düsseldorf (0211) area codes. In Berlin, numbers like 03025555451 were particularly troublesome, as listed by the Clever Dialer app. Scammers often altered only the last digits of numbers to evade detection.

Scammers used various tactics to trick victims. Fake prize draws and threats were common, with attempts to obtain sensitive information such as IBAN numbers on the rise.

August 2025 witnessed a significant increase in spam calls, with scammers employing aggressive methods to extract personal data. Numbers from the Hamburg and Düsseldorf areas were particularly prevalent. Users are advised to be cautious and verify calls before sharing personal information.
