Springfield Armory has unveiled the Model 2020 Redline, a factory-built long-range hunting rifle designed with mobile hunters in mind. The Redline offers a blend of high-end features and performance at a competitive price point.
At the heart of the Redline lies a 2020 turn-bolt action, featuring a CNC-machined 416R stainless steel receiver and a spiral-fluted, disassemblable bolt. The barreled action is housed in a fiberglass Grayboe Trekker stock, offering a minimalist design and adjustable length of pull. Notably, the rifle's barrel is crafted by BSF, with a 416R stainless-steel fluted core wrapped in a roll-wrapped carbon-fiber sleeve, available in .308 Win. and 6.5 mm Creedmoor chamberings.
The Redline boasts a 3/4-m.o.a. three-shot accuracy guarantee at 100 yards, with an average five-shot group of 1.13 inches. It comes equipped with a TriggerTech Field trigger, adjustable from 2 lbs., 8 ozs., to 5 lbs., and accommodates detachable AICS-pattern box magazines. The rifle's muzzle brake and stock design effectively manage recoil, ensuring a comfortable shooting experience. Additionally, the Redline features a 6-inch section of Picatinny rail for mounting optics, while also allowing direct mounting to the receiver.
Modern manufacturing techniques and materials enable the Redline to offer custom-level features and performance at an economically feasible price. The rifle is priced at $2,299, positioning it between the base-model and high-end Waypoints, providing excellent value for its features and capabilities.
The Springfield Armory Model 2020 Redline is a well-equipped, long-range hunting rifle designed for mobile hunters. With its accurate and reliable performance, comfortable shooting experience, and competitive pricing, the Redline offers an attractive option for those seeking a high-quality, factory-built rifle.
