Starrett-Bytewise Unveils Profile360 Blue: Next-Gen Real-Time In-Line Laser Measurement

Starrett-Bytewise has introduced Profile360 Blue, the latest generation of its real-time in-line laser measurement system for continuous 2D profile inspection. The system, announced by Global Sales Director Desmond Adeyemo, offers improved capabilities in a compact footprint at a lower cost than previous generations.

Profile360 Blue, the fifth iteration in the Profile360 line, can be custom-built for various sizes and shapes, in addition to being available in standard sizes. The system acquires thousands of data points around the profile, matching them to a CAD template to extract measurement parameters such as width, thickness, gap, radius, and angle.

The new system features an expanded field-of-view, offering options of 60 mm, 120 mm, and 180 mm, providing larger inspection envelope capabilities in a smaller package. It contains one wavelength sensor model, reducing the need for spare sensors. The system's embedded processor eliminates the need for a separate PC interface, and its streamlined design includes new software and hardware.

Measurement parameters are compared to allowable control limits and displayed on the operator's terminal with a pass/caution/fail status indicator, ensuring real-time monitoring of key profile dimensions in complex shapes and features in various materials.

Profile360 Blue, the newest addition to Starrett-Bytewise's profile measurement systems, offers customizability, expanded field-of-view options, and real-time monitoring capabilities. With its streamlined design and lower cost, the system is set to enhance in-line laser measurement for continuous 2D profile inspection.
