Tata Motors Launches Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45: India's First Subcompact EV With Advanced ADAS
Tata Motors has launched the Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45, a subcompact electric vehicle (EV) packed with advanced features. The car introduces a Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for the first time in its class, priced at ₹17.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45 retains its powerful 143 bhp, 215 Nm electric motor and real-world range of 350-370 km. It offers rapid charging capabilities, adding 150 km of range in just 15 minutes, and a 20-80 percent charge in 40 minutes.
The ADAS includes safety features like traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive lane centring, forward collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking. The car also comes with comfort and convenience features such as a panoramic sunroof, rear window sunshade, ambient lighting, and a full suite of connected car features. The new variant is based on the top-spec 45 kWh model and offers an all-black exterior, bolstered leatherette seats, and bespoke UI themes.
The Nexon.ev Empowered +A 45 comes with a lifetime HV battery warranty for the first owner. With a modest premium of ₹30,000 over the previous variant, it offers advanced safety and comfort features at a competitive price point.
