Telekom Launches Cross-Platform eSIM Transfer Between iOS and Android
Telekom has launched a new service enabling eSIM transfers between devices running different operating systems. Initially, it supports iPhones with iOS 26 and Google Pixel 10 (Android 16).
Previously, eSIM transfers at Telekom were restricted to devices with the same operating system. Now, the new cross-platform communication platform allows users to switch between Android and iOS devices seamlessly.
The service is currently limited, requiring specific models. It supports iPhones with iOS 26 and Google Pixel 10 with Android 16. More Google Pixel 10 models and other Android devices are expected to be added soon.
The eSIM transfer process is initiated in the new smartphone's settings and is automatically checked and released by the Telekom system. Other providers like O2 and Vodafone also offer similar services. Notably, Samsung Galaxy devices have supported eSIM transfer from iPhone to Samsung for several years.
Telekom's new eSIM transfer service bridges the gap between Android and iOS devices. Initially limited to specific models, it is set to expand, offering users greater flexibility in switching between different operating systems.
