Tesla's Giga Texas Rolls Out First Non-Foundation Cybertrucks With Design Changes and Addressed Defects
Tesla has started rolling out the first non-Foundation series Cybertrucks from its Giga Texas plant. These vehicles, priced from $79,990, sport subtle design changes and address previous issues, as seen in recently surfaced images.
The new Cybertrucks, produced since July 2023, feature a revised silver finish on the steering wheel's 'squircle' and no 'Foundation' badging on the sides. Owners can expect optional Bed D rings and the absence of silver inlay on the lower center console, along with rubber floor mats. Notably, Tesla has addressed the accelerator pedal defect by implementing a rivet solution, still present in these builds.
Tesla has also opened the door to aftermarket modifications for AWD Cybertruck owners, allowing for further vehicle customization. Meanwhile, the lower-priced AWD Cybertruck configurations start at $79,990, with a higher-end tri-motor version priced at $99,990.
The first non-Foundation Cybertrucks mark a step forward for Tesla, with revised designs and addressed defects. The new pricing structure and aftermarket modification options provide more choices for customers. As production continues at Giga Texas, owners can look forward to these changes and the potential for further customization.
