The Wedding Company Secures $1M in Pre-Seed Funding to Transform Wedding Planning

The Wedding Company, a digital platform streamlining wedding services, has secured $1 million in pre-seed funding. The round was led by LVX and Tremis Capital, with notable angel investors also participating. The startup aims to standardise service delivery across regions, a challenge faced by traditional wedding planners.

Founded in 2023 by Pawan Gupta and Rahul Namdev, The Wedding Company operates a digital-first platform that helps couples discover, book, and manage wedding vendors. In just two years, it has facilitated over Rs 60 crore ($7.2 million) worth of wedding service orders, executing more than 1,000 weddings across eight cities.

The company's growth is evident in its monthly order bookings, which have scaled over 100 times since inception. It now surpasses Rs 10 crore in gross service value and Rs 1 crore in net monthly revenue. The new capital will be used to expand operations into additional cities, enhance technology infrastructure, and grow its vendor partner network. The startup competes with Meragi, Weddingz.in, Wedding Cloud, Shaadilogy, and Shaadi Baraati Event Management.

With a target of Rs 120 crore in revenue by fiscal 2026, a threefold increase from its current run rate, The Wedding Company is poised for significant growth. Its success lies in bringing order and technology to the $130 billion wedding industry, making wedding planning more accessible and efficient for couples.
