Trump Approves TikTok Deal, New Tariff, and Alaska Project
US President Donald Trump has been active in both domestic and international news. He has approved a significant deal with China regarding TikTok and announced a new tariff. Additionally, he has given the green light to a major project in Alaska.
Trump revealed that he had discussed the TikTok deal with Chinese President Xi Jinping, describing it as necessary. The agreement involves several top American investors, including Michael Dell, Rupert Murdoch, Oracle, and Silver Lake. The new US company, which will be fully American-operated, is expected to be worth around 14 billion dollars. Oracle and Silver Lake, along with MGX from Abu Dhabi, will hold a 45 percent stake.
In domestic news, Trump has announced a 25 percent tariff on foreign heavy-duty trucks starting November 1. He also approved the Ambler Road Project in Alaska, which is expected to unlock significant mineral potential and generate billions of dollars worth of wealth.
Trump's approval of the TikTok deal and the Ambler Road Project demonstrates his administration's focus on both international business and domestic economic development. The new tariff on foreign trucks, however, may impact global trade and the automotive industry.
