UAE Launches Elite AI & Economic Strategy Programme for Government Leaders

The UAE has launched a new initiative to equip its government workforce with advanced expertise in economic strategy and artificial intelligence. The programme, announced by Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, aims to strengthen the UAE's global leadership in governance, innovation, and sustainable development.

The initiative will offer two specialised master's programmes in collaboration with world-leading universities. The first focuses on Economic Strategies and International Policy, while the second delves into Artificial Intelligence for the Government Sector. These programmes will be delivered by renowned institutions such as Oxford, MIT, Georgetown, NYU, and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, chosen for their top 2026 global rankings and record in executive education and public sector innovation.

The first phase will select 200 fellows from government entities across the UAE, equally divided between the two academic tracks. Graduates will be equipped to design forward-looking policies, manage digital transformation projects, and drive initiatives enhancing the UAE's global competitiveness. This aligns with Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's commitment to lifelong learning and positions the UAE as a global leader in these critical fields.

The UAE's investment in future-critical fields such as economic strategy and artificial intelligence reflects the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. The initiative, launched under the guidance of Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, underscores the UAE's commitment to continuous development and global leadership.
