Upcoming Audi A4 e-tron (2026): New Details and Estimated Cost Revealed

The automotive world is abuzz with anticipation as Audi prepares to launch its latest electric offering – the Audi A4 e-tron. Scheduled to hit the markets around 2026, this electric midsize car is set to redefine luxury and performance in the electric vehicle segment.

The Audi A4 e-tron will initially debut as a hatchback, boasting a Sportback-style tailgate. An Avant version, reminiscent of its combustion engine brother, the A5, is also on the cards. The vehicle is expected to follow the dimensions of the A5, making it approximately 4.83 metres long, 1.86 metres wide (without mirrors), and 1.46 metres high in the Avant version.

One of the standout features of the Audi A4 e-tron will be its advanced infotainment system. Integrating intelligent voice control and artificial intelligence, the system will adapt to individual needs and adjust settings based on habits and driving situations.

Official details about the interior of the Audi A4 e-tron are yet to be revealed, but it's expected to feature digital instruments with a head-up display and a centrally placed touchscreen. An optional passenger-side display is also likely to be featured in the electric A4.

In terms of lighting, the Audi A4 e-tron will boast innovative, freely projecting adaptive LED light sources, similar to the A6.

As for the pricing, the estimated price of the Audi A4 e-tron is 52,000 euros. This is approximately 7,000 euros higher than the Audi A5 model's price, indicating a premium positioning for the electric vehicle. However, it's worth noting that the Audi A4 e-tron is expected to be significantly more expensive than the Tesla Model 3.

Alexander Koch, Audi's Board Member for Sales and Marketing, expressed his belief that the Audi A4 e-tron will appeal to the masses in terms of electric mobility. He emphasised that while the price point may be higher than some competitors, the vehicle's luxury and performance will justify the investment.

The overall appearance and design of the Audi A4 e-tron are likely to be oriented towards the larger brother of the luxury class, promising a sleek and sophisticated look that Audi enthusiasts have come to expect.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the launch of the Audi A4 e-tron in 2026. This electric vehicle is set to redefine luxury and performance in the electric car market, and we can't wait to see it in action.
