Velo3D's Rapid Production Solution Earns AS9100D Certification for Aerospace Standards
Velo3D, a U.S.-based manufacturing company, has received a significant boost with the AS9100D certificate for its Rapid Production Solution (RPS). This certification, issued by the Eagle Certification Group, reinforces Velo3D's commitment to advancing domestic manufacturing and serving critical industries.
The AS9100D certificate validates Velo3D's quality management system, ensuring it meets stringent aerospace standards. This achievement strengthens Velo3D's ability to serve aerospace primes, defence contractors, and government agencies. The certification was awarded by Eagle Certification Group (ECG), affirming that Velo3D's RPS processes are robust and capable of supporting mission-critical production at scale.
Velo3D's RPS, launched to provide a 'qualified pathway' from prototyping to high-volume production, uses a fleet of Sapphire metal additive manufacturing systems. This technology enables customers to bridge the gap between innovation and production, as stated by Velo3D CEO Dr Arun Jeldi. He considers this certification a pivotal milestone for the company and its customers.
With the AS9100D certificate, Velo3D's RPS is now compliant with the most rigorous quality management requirements. This achievement further solidifies Velo3D's commitment to advancing U.S.-based manufacturing and serving the needs of critical industries.
