Wangener Street in Frankfurt Closed for New Pedestrian Bridge Construction
Wangener Street in Frankfurt is currently closed and will remain so for extended periods in the coming weeks. The closure is necessary for the construction of a new pedestrian and cycling bridge, with Fraport AG overseeing the project.
The street has been fully closed since Monday, with the installation of intermediate support and bridge beams underway. To complete this phase, further full closures are expected from October 27 to 31 and November 17 to 21. During these periods, construction work that requires a full closure will take place.
The construction is proceeding as planned, with no significant delays reported. Once this phase is complete, the construction site will continue under a half-side closure of Wangener Street. The progress of the construction can be monitored via a construction camera set up by Fraport AG.
The full closure of Wangener Street is expected to continue until the end of November, with further closures planned for late October and mid-November. The construction of the new pedestrian and cycling bridge is on schedule, with Fraport AG managing the project and providing real-time updates via a construction camera.
