Worms' ebwo AoR Unveils First Electric Waste Vehicle for Safety and Comfort

Worms' Waste and Construction Operations Authority (ebwo AoR) has unveiled a new waste vehicle, set to enhance safety, environmental friendliness, and worker comfort. The first purely electric news vehicle will join the fleet in November.

The new news vehicle, a low-floor model with a rotating drum design, is equipped with a Euro 6d diesel engine, the current top standard for emission control. It can carry four people, has a gross weight limit of 27 tons, and a loading volume of 21 cubic meters.

Safety is a key focus. The news vehicle features an integrated turning assistant system using radar sensors to detect movements around it. Reverse speed is limited to nine kilometers per hour to protect personnel and surroundings. Three cameras monitor the rear work area and step boards for added safety.

The work areas behind and beside the news vehicle are fully illuminated with LED technology, ensuring visibility in darkness or poor weather. The manufacturer of this safety-oriented waste cart, equipped with a rotating bucket wheel, is Wintersteiger.

The new ebwo AoR news vehicle, set to join the fleet in November, aims to set new standards. With its electric operation, advanced safety features, and comfortable design, it promises to improve waste collection in Worms.
