Crypto Prophets Predicting Skyrocketing XRP Prices

A rollercoaster ride for XRP enthusiasts is on the horizon as analysts predict a price surge to between $5 and $15 by 2025's end, with a long-term goal of $26.50 by 2030. Let's dive into the reasons behind the bullish sentiments and what's stirring the wind of change for the third-largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

Good Morning Crypto (@AbsGMCrypto), a well-known crypto analyst, shared the forecast, pointing to heavier use, regulatory clarity, and the momentum generated by Ripple's global partnerships as key drivers. Automatic racketeering partnerships with heavyweights such as Santander and SBI Holdings have established XRP as the go-to token for cross-border payments and asset tokenization, boosting investor confidence.

Regulatory Clarity, Legal Swagger, and Political Ties

Case in point: the recent settlement between Ripple and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) after they agreed on a hefty $50 million fine. This legal standoff has now been resolved, paving the way for collaboration and other ventures. It seems crypto-friendly regulations have improved sentiment, with the odds of XRP ETFs getting approved hitting a staggering 85% by 2025's end.

Enterprising Enterprise and the XRP Universe

As the first quarter of 2025 fades, Ripple unveiled its own stablecoin – RLUSD – into the crypto space. In just a few months, RLUSD has racked up a market cap of over $381 million, according to CoinMarketCap. Fees for transactions on the Ripple network are paid using XRP, which gets burned, potentially driving up the price.

In addition, the XRP Ledger (XRPL) is bracing for a series of upgrades this month. The updates promise decentralized identity tools, price oracles, and integration with 69 other blockchains, opening new avenues and possibilities for XRP.

Ripple's Political Playground

Ripple's ties with politics can't be disregarded. In January 2025, CEO Brad Garlinghouse and Chief Legal Officer Stuart Alderoty met with former President Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago, a move that some believe could lead to XRP being added to the U.S. strategic crypto reserve. Though this plan never materialized, Ripple managed to contribute $5 million in XRP to Trump's inauguration fund, making headlines as the largest crypto contribution.

Another interesting twist unfolded with VivoPower International, a corporate firm that raised $121 million last month via a share sale to support its XRP strategy. Half of the funds came from Saudi Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Saud. The SEC is now reviewing WisdomTree's application for an XRP ETF, which, if approved, would allow investors to buy XRP-associated shares on the stock exchange without holding the crypto directly. The SEC has 240 days to make a decision, with an answer expected by January 2026.

Current Status of XRP ETF Applications

As of mid-2025, the status of XRP ETF applications is a picture of significant optimism and institutional interest. Major financial players, including Bitwise, Grayscale, Franklin Templeton, and 21Shares, have submitted applications for spot XRP ETFs. However, the SEC has delayed decisions on these applications, postponing review deadlines like June 17 for Franklin Templeton's application and a similar one for 21Shares' in late May.

Odds of Approval Before the End of 2025

Despite these delays, the odds of an XRP ETF approval by the end of 2025 remain high. The probability on platforms like Polymarket has reached up to 98%. Short-term confidence has been affected, with the chances of approval before July 2025 dropping to a record low of 19%. Long-term sentiment remains positive, with approval likely in the final quarter of 2025, coinciding with the SEC's final decision deadlines.

Market Sentiment and Factors Influencing Approval

Market sentiment has been bolstered by the launch of XRP futures on May 19 and increased institutional interest, including corporate adoption and regulatory clarity following the SEC's dropping of its lawsuit against Ripple in March 2025. These factors have contributed to growing investor confidence and speculation about potential price surges if an ETF is approved.

  1. With the possibility of XRP ETF approval reaching 98%, the upcoming quarter could witness a surge in investor interest, aligning with the bullish sentiments for XRP prices.
  2. The SEC's review of WisdomTree's XRP ETF application, along with contributions from corporate firms like VivoPower International, showcases the burgeoning interest in XRP-associated investing, fueled by improvements in crypto-friendly regulations.
  3. The tech-driven developments such as Ripple's stablecoin RLUSD, upgrades on the XRP Ledger, and heavyweight partnerships align with the belief that the rise of XRP is intricately connected with the advancements in blockchain technology and finance.
