Yakutian Entrepreneur Forum Kicks Off: "Taking Decisions Together"
In the heart of Yakutsk, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Forum of Entrepreneurs titled "Time to Decide Together" commenced on September 26. Organised by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship, Trade, and Tourism of Yakutia, the event is part of the national project "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship," initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The two-day forum aims to bring together entrepreneurs, public organisations, executive authorities, local governments, banks, and development institutions, fostering a collaborative environment for discussing and finding solutions to the challenges faced by the republic's businesses.
Albina Ershova, a certified trainer of the Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, led a seminar on generating business ideas. Participants learned effective ways to create and develop their company models, and even had the opportunity to put their ideas into practice through a business game called "Create Your Business."
Eight teams participated in the game, implementing their product ideas in a simulated business environment. The best teams received special prizes from the "My Business" Center.
The first day's business programme also included a roundtable on family and social entrepreneurship, a seminar on service and hospitality in the catering industry, led by Sardana Grigoryeva, a certified expert of WSR Russia 2020 and NOK, and a licensed HACCP auditor, and a session on e-commerce.
Speakers at the event included experienced entrepreneurs promoting their products on electronic trading platforms, representatives from Boon Market, YktExpress, Zonsmart company, and the Export Support Center. They discussed current trends and strategies for successful trading on popular online platforms.
Representatives from Sberbank, Almazergienbank, PS Bank, VTB, Alfa Bank, and the regional Fund for the Development of Entrepreneurship spoke about credit solutions, tools for managing funds, and technological solutions to improve business efficiency at the presentation of financial products.
The forum continues tomorrow, September 27, with discussions and seminars focused on various aspects of entrepreneurship. For those interested in entrepreneurship events in Yakutia, it is recommended to check local business or educational institutions' websites for upcoming forums or conferences that align with their interests.
While information on an Annual Entrepreneurship Forum in Yakutia could not be found, it is worth noting that the 6th Northern Sustainable Development Forum is scheduled for the second half of 2025 in Yakutsk, Russia, focusing on sustainable development rather than entrepreneurship specifically. Other unrelated events, such as the CARATS 2025 diamond and jewelry trade exhibition in Surat, India, and the BioHealth Capital Region Forum in Rockville, Maryland, also do not seem to be directly focused on Yakutia or general entrepreneurship.
- The discussion on the second day of the forum might encompass topics related to technology, as speakers from Zonsmart company and the Export Support Center, known for their expertise in e-commerce, will share insights on current trends and strategies for successful trading online.
- Albina Ershova's seminar on generating business ideas emphasized the integration of technology, as participants were introduced to effective methods for creating and developing company models and even had the opportunity to practice through a technology-based business game called "Create Your Business."
