YEP News Breaks Language Barriers, Uniting Europe with Trusted News

YEP News, a multilingual news website, is making waves across Europe. Backed by the European Union, it delivers trusted news from public service media in five major languages, thanks to AI translation. Eric Scherer, France Télévisions' representative and Chair of the EBU's News Committee, has commended YEP News for expanding the reach of public service media's stories.

YEP News is a product of 'A European Perspective: Digital News Platforms that Connect Europe Through Trusted News' (DNP Europe), co-financed by the European Union's Preparatory Action - 'European Media Platforms'. This initiative supports the creation of a European Media Platform, fostering collaboration among media organizations.

The platform is a joint effort between eleven public service media and organizations, with more partners set to join. The European Commission ensures its financing, enabling YEP News to select stories from A European Perspective and translate them into French, German, Italian, Spanish, and English. This makes trusted news more accessible to a wider European audience.

YEP News, through its innovative use of AI and strong European backing, is breaking down language barriers and uniting Europeans through trusted news. With more partners joining and the European Commission's support, the platform's impact is set to grow, further connecting Europe through reliable journalism.
