Zencoder Unveils New Platform for Custom AI Coding Agents
Zencoder, an AI coding assistant, has unveiled a new platform that enables developers to build and share custom agents across organizations. This comes with enhanced analytics features to track AI tool usage and measure ROI. The platform is now available, with initial collaborations starting in early 2024 with companies like Akamai, Brightcove, and Limelight Networks.
The new Zencoder platform supports on-prem deployments and allows enterprises to run models within their own clouds. It integrates with popular IDEs like VS Code and JetBrains, offering built-in debugging, refactoring tools, and features like IntelliSense. Additionally, it provides multi-repository intelligence to understand entire codebases, including large monorepos.
Initially, Zencoder will focus on coding tasks using CLI agents. However, it plans to expand into other development areas like testing, reviews, and enforcing code consistency in the future. The platform will integrate with OpenAI's Codex, Anthropic's Claude Code, and Google's Gemini CLI, starting with these three.
Zencoder's new platform is now accessible to users with existing Codex, Gemini, or Claude Code subscriptions. It offers a seamless way for developers to use their preferred CLI agents and IDEs, supporting both on-prem deployments and cloud-based models. With initial collaborations in place and plans to expand its services, Zencoder aims to streamline the development process for professional coders.
