Zurich: High Salaries, High Cost of Living

Zurich, Switzerland's largest city with over 430,000 inhabitants, boasts high salaries but also steep living costs. The average gross annual salary is 88,866 CHF, with some professions and companies offering even more.

The banking sector leads in average salary, with an annual gross of 108,331 CHF. Key Account Managers and Product Managers are among the top earners, at 113,300 CHF and 111,400 CHF respectively. Notably, Bank Vontobel AG and Ergon Informatik AG offer salaries around 132,000 CHF.

However, living in Zurich comes at a price. The cost of living averages 3,190 CHF per month, significantly higher than the Swiss average of 2,350 CHF. Despite this, job satisfaction in Zurich stands at 53%, slightly lower than Bern's 57%.

While Zurich offers high salaries, particularly in the banking sector, its cost of living is also elevated. Job satisfaction varies, with Bern slightly ahead. The city remains an attractive destination for professionals, with some companies offering competitive salaries.
